 CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The Foreign Language Association of Northern California (FLANC) conference is an annual event that provides teaching faculty opportunities to discuss emerging trends and challenges in world language education. We welcome submissions rooted in actual platform teaching experiences; those proposals will be prioritized. Each session has 40 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for questions.

This year’s conference theme is Innovation in Language Teaching and Learning

We are excited to invite submissions for proposals exploring innovative approaches to language teaching and learning. This initiative seeks to highlight cutting-edge practices, strategies, and methodologies that advance the field and enhance the effectiveness of language education in diverse settings.

Proposals may include, but are not limited to:

  • Emerging technologies and digital tools for language learning.

  • Creative techniques for teaching multilingual learners.

  • Innovative curriculum design and assessment practices.

  • Approaches that foster cultural competence and inclusivity in language education.

Accepted proposals will contribute to shaping the future of language education and may be featured in upcoming publications, presentations, or workshops.

**Submission Guidelines:**

  • Proposal length: Up to 200 words – (Title: 10 words, Abstract 50 words, Proposal 150 words)

  • Deadline: Proposals are due by 11:59 pm (PDT) on Sunday, 13 July 2025 *Late proposals will not be considered.

  • A decision acceptance will be sent by: Tuesday, 10 August 2025
